At FISSMED, we complement our medical care with modern therapeutic methods that support regeneration, reduce pain, and promote sustainable healing processes. Our focus is on effective, gentle, and scientifically validated treatments that are suitable both for acute complaints and for long-term therapy. All applications are carried out by specially trained professionals and are individually tailored to your symptoms and personal treatment goals.

    magnetic field therapy

Our magnetic field therapy is based on modern high-energy induction technology, which generates one of the strongest therapeutic magnetic fields currently available. This field penetrates deeply into muscles, nerves, and blood vessels and can help to relieve pain, activate healing processes, and improve circulation. The emFieldPro device used at FISSMED produces a magnetic field that is up to 600 times stronger than that of a conventional magnet bar.

In this way, physiological processes can be specifically stimulated – completely pain-free and without any direct skin contact. The treatment is particularly suitable for acute and chronic pain conditions, for complaints in the neck and shoulder area, for frozen shoulder, back pain or sciatica, and for carpal tunnel syndrome.

Many patients with rheumatic joint disease, patellar tendon syndrome, pelvic pain, or a need for nerve regeneration also benefit significantly from this form of therapy.

Magnetic field therapy can lead to immediate pain relief, positively influence the underlying causes of pain, regulate muscle tone, and noticeably improve blood flow, thereby supporting the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

    compression and lymphatic therapy

In addition, we offer compression and lymphatic therapy using our inSports Recovery 12 system, which is used both in medical treatment and in sports recovery. The system works with twelve chambers that fill with air in a defined rhythm from the feet upwards. This creates a targeted, wave-like pressure massage that supports the natural venous and lymphatic return and promotes the removal of accumulated fluid and metabolic waste products.

The therapy is particularly suitable for venous oedema, lymphoedema and lipoedema, for swelling after injuries or operations, and for patients with venous leg ulcers. Mixed forms such as phlebo-lymphoedema or lipo-lymphoedema can also be treated effectively. More and more physically active people are using this method to accelerate recovery after intense training sessions or competitions.

Through the treatment, venous return and the function of the muscle pump are improved, while lymphatic drainage is stimulated. At the same time, metabolism and gas exchange in the tissue increase, which leads to faster recovery and a noticeable reduction in discomfort.

    CRYOPEN® CRYOTHERAPY

With the CryoPen®, we also provide a modern, precise, and almost pain-free method for removing benign skin lesions. The device works with controlled cold application at temperatures as low as –89 °C, allowing the targeted tissue to be frozen very precisely without damaging the surrounding skin. A treatment usually lasts only a few seconds and does not require anaesthesia, which makes the procedure particularly comfortable for patients.

CryoPen® cryotherapy is suitable for a wide range of benign skin changes, such as common and molluscum warts, actinic and seborrheic keratoses, age spots, soft fibromas, haemangiomas, or dermatofibromas. Even sensitive areas – for example in the face or around the eyelids – can be treated safely.

Because the method is almost painless, it is also very well suited for children. After the treatment, the frozen tissue usually forms a small crust, which heals within a few days to weeks – in most cases without scarring and with an excellent cosmetic result. This makes the CryoPen® an ideal option for anyone seeking a safe, effective, and minimally invasive form of treatment.

    Hyaluronic Acid Injection

At FISSMED, we use a specialised, highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid for joints that are overloaded or affected by osteoarthritis (so-called activated osteoarthritis). This modern preparation can deliver very good and rapidly noticeable results after just a single injection. In contrast to conventional hyaluronic acid therapies, which usually require several injections at weekly intervals, the single-dose approach not only reduces the overall treatment effort but also significantly minimises the risk of infection. Studies indicate that the positive effects of this therapy can last for more than six months. Our own clinical experience also confirms this long-lasting effect.

Study results show that pain relief achieved through hyaluronic acid injections can persist for up to six months. Our own experience supports these findings. Many of our patients report a significant reduction in pain that is often still noticeable even six months after the injection.

The injection is administered directly into the affected joint and, if necessary, can also be performed with precise CT guidance. Presentation at our practice is possible at any time, even without a prior appointment.

    ACP Autologous Blood Therapy

ACP autologous blood therapy (autologous conditioned plasma) is a modern biological treatment method used for sports injuries, tendon and ligament irritation, as well as degenerative joint conditions such as osteoarthritis. This therapy specifically utilises the body’s own healing potential to promote regenerative processes, support cartilage regeneration, and reduce pain. Our goal is to sustainably improve your mobility and relieve symptoms over the long term.

For the treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and processed using a specialised procedure. Through centrifugation, a plasma with a significantly increased concentration of platelets is obtained. After injection, these platelets release growth factors that support cell regeneration, collagen formation, and blood circulation in the treated tissue. Red blood cells and pro-inflammatory components are largely removed during this process.

As only the patient’s own biological material is used, ACP autologous blood therapy is very well tolerated and associated with a very low risk of side effects. The injection is administered shortly after blood collection and can be performed on an outpatient basis.
