The “Medical” – officially the aeromedical fitness certificate – is an expert assessment certified by Austro Control and issued by an Aeromedical Examiner (AME). It confirms the medical fitness of pilots and applicants. This Medical complies with the regulations of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and is therefore valid throughout the EASA region.
Dr. Christoph Stengg is authorised to conduct aeromedical examinations for the following classes:
- Medical examinations class 1: revalidation and renewal
- Medical examinations class 2: initial issuance, revalidation and renewal
- LAPL: initial issuance, revalidation and renewal
- CC: initial issuance, revalidation and renewal
Important: The initial Class 1 examination may only be carried out in an approved aeromedical center. The nearest center is located in Salzburg. A complete overview of all approved centers in Austria can be found here: Flugmedizinischen Zentren
All other aeromedical examinations can be performed directly here in Fiss – professionally, efficiently, and without complications.
For a smooth process, please bring:
- Current or expired Medical (original)
- Pilot licence (if available)
- Valid photo ID
- Relevant medical reports (e.g., ophthalmology or internal medicine)
Please also observe the 45-day interval before your current Medical expires.
